Ahmed ElZoghby is an Egyptian writer and director whose film Bershama (2026), which he created and co-wrote, became the second highest-grossing film in Egyptian cinema history. He also co-wrote the story of the Saudi film Hajjan (2023), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. His directorial debut short Qafla (Blackout) screened at Tampere, Palm Springs ShortFest and Austin Film Festival, won several awards, and was sold to Canal+, Shahid, and Amazon Prime. Ahmed is a two-time Film Independent Global Media Makers Fellow.
