Mohit Chattopadhyay

**Mohit Chattopadhyay (1934–2012)** was an acclaimed Bengali playwright, poet and screenwriter, best known for his pioneering contribution to experimental Bengali theatre. He wrote over 100 plays and also collaborated with filmmaker **Mrinal Sen** on films such as *Mrigayaa* and *Genesis*. He received the **Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Playwriting in 1991**.
