Nicolás Carrasco

Nicolás Carrasco (Lima, 1990) is a Peruvian producer, programmer, film critic, and distributor. He has worked as an independent programmer for institutions and festivals such as the Central University of Bogotá, the Luis Miro Quesada Garland theater, the SERES gallery, Transcinema, MUTA, Artists in (R)evolution Collective, Corriente, Frontera Sur, and the 4th World Week of Cinephilia in Córdoba, Argentina. As a critic, he has contributed to Indiewire, Desistfilm, Cinencuentro, Otros Cines Perú, and the film magazines La vida útil (Argentina) and Ventana Indiscreta (Peru). He is the co-author of the books “Latinoamérica Radical” (2019), published by the Radical Film Festival of Bolivia, and “El cine de Pier Paolo Pasolini: En los extramuros de la Historia” (2023) and “El cine de Jean-Luc Godard: Rupturas y aperturas,” both published by the University of Lima. She has participated in the Locarno Critics Academy (2015), Talent Press Buenos Aires (2016), Robert Flaherty Film Seminar (2019 - 2022), RAW: Arché→MRG//Work Residencies for Criticism and Research (2020) and the FICUNAM The Audience of the Future Seminar (2024)."
