Ali

Mohammad Ali (born October 10, 1968), known mononymously as Ali, is an Indian actor, comedian, and television presenter who works predominantly in Telugu cinema, alongside appearances in Tamil and Hindi films. Beginning his screen career as a child artist in the romantic drama *Seethakoka Chilaka* (1981), he transitioned into adult character and comedy roles in the late 1980s. He gained mainstream breakthrough recognition in the 1990s as a comedic lead in the fantasy comedy *Yamaleela* (1994) and the family drama *Subhalagnam* (1994), establishing himself as a fixture in mainstream Telugu cinema across more than a thousand screen appearances. Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Ali received two Filmfare Awards for Best Comedian – Telugu for his performances in the sports drama *Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi* (2003) and the heist action film *Super* (2005), alongside prominent roles in *Idiot* (2002), *Pokiri* (2006), *Desamuduru* (2007), *Kick* (2009), and *Gabbar Singh* (2012). In 2022, he expanded into feature production with the comedy-drama *Andaru Bagundali Andulo Nenundali*, in which he also starred. His later screen credits include *F3: Fun and Frustration* (2022), *Double iSmart* (2024), and *Saripodhaa Sanivaaram* (2024), continuing his work into 2026 productions such as *Daadi Ki Shaadi* and *Mister Middle Class*.
