(A Rural Conqueror)

Content: Rural man Ira Smiley fears losing his sweetheart, Marjorie Thorne, to her more sophisticated city friends. In an attempt to win her back, Ira upgrades his wardrobe and takes her driving. During a river crossing, he unhitches the horse and refuses to move unless she promises to marry him. While she initially agrees to escape the situation, she rebels again once they return home.
