Content: A young artist named Toma begins to feel that his life in Belgrade begins suffocating him, so he sneaks aboard a cargo ship and travels down the Danube, eventually settling on a small island where ha can continue to work on his nature-inspired artworks in peace. Along the way, he meets a number of different characters representing various social groups that call 1950s Belgrade their home.
