Content: In October 1976, the Uruguayan Armed Forces exhibited to the media a group of militants kidnapped in Buenos Aires months before, as if they had just been captured in national territory. The assembly sought to counteract the international campaign for human rights violations in Uruguay and was possible because the State had a monopoly on information on the anti-subversive struggle. Survivors of the kidnapping evoke the events, while specialists and journalists analyze the historical context and the media of the time.
