(Můj báječný rozvod)

Content: The story of Angela Kennedy Lipská, a middle-aged woman who has just been left by her husband and who, after decades in the role of wife and mother, is beginning to learn to live alone, is enjoying success across Europe and is clearly the most successful comedy by contemporary Irish playwright Geraldine Aron. The Czech production, directed by Jana Kališová and starring Eliška Balzerová in the lead role as well as all other roles, has already had more than 200 sold-out performances. The brilliant performance of Eliška Balzerová certainly plays a major role in the show's success, but so does the fact that My Wonderful Divorce is primarily a great comedy, but also deals with the serious and quite sad vicissitudes of life that are familiar to at least the female part of the population.
