(On Nothing Days)

Content: A 1967 English language documentary directed by Clarke Mackey. It follows a lonely, discouraged teenager as he takes the bus downtown on a Saturday. The film won a Young Filmmakers Award at the NFB, and was broadcast on the CBC. Today, this movie provides a rare snapshot of Toronto in the mid-1960s: Bloor and Yonge, Yorkville, Queen’s Park, Honest Ed’s, etc.
