(Nós Somos um Poema)
Year: 2007
Runtime: 17 minutes
Content: Through interviews and footage, this work revisits the historic collaboration between Pixinguinha and Vinícius de Moraes in creating the soundtrack for the film Sun Over the Mud, directed by Alex Viany (1963). A significant milestone of the Cinema Novo movement, Sun Over the Mud had limited screenings for the general public but definitively contributed to the emergence of one of the most remarkable—and previously unprecedented—partnerships between these two legendary figures of Brazilian music.
